General terms of motorcycle rental

  1. Driver’s Age: The minimum age limit for categories Α, Β, C is 21 years old, for categories D, E, A1, B1, C1 is 25 years old and for categories C2, C3, C4 is 28 years old.
  2. Driving License: The driver must have a valid driving license or an international driving license for the corresponding motorcycle category. The driving license must be valid and issued in the resident country of the renter, at least one year before the rental date.
  3. Rental Duration: The minimum rental duration is one day (24 hours). For any delay exceeding 2 hours, an additional rental day will be charged.
  4. Insurance: All rental prices include basic third-party liability insurance. The renter is responsible for any damage or theft (partial or total) caused to the rented motorcycle, up to the amount of its market value at the time of the accident/theft. The renter must pay the amount corresponding to the motorcycle damage to motorent®, regardless of fault, and the paid amount will be refunded when motorent® is compensated.
  5. Theft Insurance: It applies only to categories A1, B1, C1, C2, C3, C4 categories. All motorcycles are equipped with a handlebar lock and an additional security lock.
 

ATTENTION: No Insurance Coverage Applies to:

– Any incidents that occur and are determined while the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.ages caused by driving on unpaved roads.

– Damages caused to the lower part of the motorcycle, tires, and rims.
– Accidents caused by an undisclosed driver in the rental agreement.
– Accidents for which the renter has not informed motorent® station and submitted a relevant accident report, as defined by Greek legislation, regardless of their liability.

The amounts related to motorcycle damage or loss are immediately paid by the renter, even if they are covered by insurance or by their debit/credit card. In this case, the renter is obliged to pay the full cost of repair or replacement of the motorcycle to motorent®.

  1. Fuel: The cost of fuel is solely the responsibility of the renter. The renter is obliged to return the motorcycle with the fuel tank at the same level as when received. Otherwise, the renter will be charged for the consumed fuel. The renter must follow the manufacturer’s specifications of the rented motorcycle and fill the tank with the required type of fuel each time.
  2. Roadside assistance: Free 24-hour roadside assistance is provided throughout Greece (except for a few islands) for categories D, E, A1, B1, C1, C2, C3, C4 and within Attica for categories Α, Β, C. Damage to tires, rims, and spokes of the motorcycle is the renter’s responsibility.
  3. Security Deposit: For categories A, B, C the minimum security deposit is 100 euros or a credit card. For categories D, E, A1, B1, C1, C2, C3, C4 motorcycle rental is only possible with a credit card as a security deposit.
  4. Mode of payment: The motorcycle rental can be paid in cash or with a Visa or Mastercard credit card.
  5. Pick-up and Drop-off: They are only available at our station and within its operating hours. Outside the operating hours and holidays, pick-up and drop-off are possible only by appointment. Pick-up outside our station is arranged by agreement and with an additional fee charged to the renter.
  6. Reservations: A 30% advance payment of the rental fee is required for motorcycle reservations in cash or with a credit card.
  7. Cancellations: In case of reservation cancellation, the prepayment is non-refundable.
  8. Traffic violations – Fines: All fines and administrative penalties are the responsibility of the renter.
  9. Mileage: For categories A, B, C, unlimited mileage is allowed. For categories D, E, A1, B1, C1, C2, C3, C4 250 kilometers per day are included. For the charging of additional kilometers, please refer to our price list.
  10. Helmet: A helmet is provided to the renter at an additional charge, subject to availability.
  11. Taxes: All prices are subject to VAT as determined by the state.
  12. The motorcycle types shown in the photos are indicative.
  13. In special cases, motorent® reserves the right to replace any motorcycle type with another of the same or higher category.
